Today’s temperatures in Middle Tennessee were nearly record-breaking. My Jeep’s reading… At 6:35 PM. I don’t even want to think about what the temperature was in the early afternoon. Somehow, I did not melt. Today was my day off so … Continue reading
I love this picture because it is so telling. Here’s what it says:
Okay, so that was only 139 words. I could continue, but I think you get the picture.
Y’all come back,

It is HAWT in Nashville. And guess what? It’s supposed to get even hotter over the next few days. I believe I saw 108 on the forecast for Friday. And it’s only June. I’m so looking forward to August. Not. … Continue reading
The cat’s out of the bag. Or, rather, into the bag. Scarlett is feeling a little left out on the Sugarlump lately. She’s very sensitive about these things so she decided to do something cute to get my attention and … Continue reading
My kitties have a few beds, one of which is called “the camper” as it has a funny hood that makes it look like a tent. The other day, I walked into my bedroom and spotted the camper suspended at … Continue reading
As extreme weather brews along the Southern and Northern borders of the U.S., I thought I would share some neat-o sky shots that did not accompany any severe weather but caught my attention. I would make a great weather reporter. Not. … Continue reading

My peas have yet to take off up the poles, but I am hopeful. I’m wondering if I need to thin these a bit. They’re looking a little bushy and misguided.
Thoughts anyone?
The parsley is suffocating the poor rosemary and the cilantro, which has already started to go to seed. Who knows a trick for keeping it from doing this? Every year, I cut it back thinking I am going to outsmart it, but it always gets me.
Harumph.
I believe it’s time to make some pesto.
Happy Summer, y’all!
