My cats are such peculiar little furballs.
In case there is any doubt, I have evidence to support this claim.
Mr. Gus thoroughly enjoys an evening under my clothes drying rack. He prefers the clothes to be damp. If they are too wet and there is a possibility of a drip, he won’t go near the drying rack. If the clothes are dry, he has no interest. I don’t know what this means, but I’m sure he’s trying to tell me something with this behavior.
In the event that clothes have been dried in the dryer and are still nice and warm and piled in a chair ready to be folded, Gus is happy to keep them from floating away.
Turns out that towels, sheets and sweatpants make a terrific cat nest.
Don’t look at me like that.
Gus really loves sheets because they make him invisible.
“I wonder what she’s looking at.”
While Gus prefers linens, Scarlett prefers cardboard. I have bought 2 new cat beds for these punks and I think they’ve barely noticed. I put this cardboard box on the floor and it took Scarlett all of 13 seconds to park herself in it.
It’s a snug fit, but she wasn’t about to let that stop her from cramming her portly self into that box.
My little hooligans watching birds on the deck. This is more normal cat behavior.
I love this picture of Gus. He’s so cute and innocent. His sister, on the other hand, who is conspicuously missing from her usual spot by the window, is most likely on the kitchen counter trying to eat Gus’s food while I take a picture of Gus. That darn cat.
Y’all hurry back,
Sugarlump
Emily, You, and your stories make my day brighter. You are so very talented.
That is so nice of you to say. I’m so glad to hear that 🙂
Hahaha The shots of Gus in the laundry are great! And I love the one of the two of their little backsides by the door 🙂
Me too! I love to watch them watch the animals outsite.
We’re constantly surprised that nobody has marketed a cardboard box bed for cats. Of course, you’d have to buy the next size down.
haha yes! I think I will propose one.
If it was made for them special, they wouldn’t use it.
Yes, you’re probably right! The only thing would be to send it in the post with some stuffing inside (no external wrapping) and then it would be interesting to see…
The box should ALWAYS be one size too small so they overflow over the edge!
They’re so cute and your living room looks very nice.
Thank you! It’s a work in progress. still need some drapes but can’t make up my mind!
Emily those photos of your furballs are priceless! Gus in the chair on your warm laundry is my fav but all are adorable 🙂
Thank you! They sure do keep things interesting. 🙂
Rhoooo just out of the dryer machine clothes… love it!
Too cute! It seems some things are characteristic of most cats – like the love of boxes! If you’re looking for a cheap cat toy – twist ties
